Brush with Bamboo
This is the textbook castor-nylon case. The handle is bamboo and the marketing is heavily eco, but the bristles - the part in your mouth - are Nylon-11/1010 made partly from castor oil. "Plant-based" nylon is chemically still nylon: not compostable, and it sheds microplastic. To the brand's credit it discloses the biobased percentage and that the bristles are not biodegradable, but the bamboo handle is a distraction from a nylon contact surface.
How clear are their specs?
Unusually forthcoming for a castor-nylon brand - it publishes the biobased percentage of the bristles and states that they are not biodegradable, so the materials are documented even though the marketing frames them as eco.
