Cocofloss sits in the honest "eco plastic" middle: it is genuinely PFAS-free (non-detect in the 2024 lab panel; the brand states it contains no PTFE), and the thread is largely recycled PET - but recycled or not, the thread is still polyester plastic. On a plastic-free site that makes it a corrective, not a villain: if you buy a plastic floss, at least it isn't PFAS.
