Comes at plastic-free from the allergy angle, which lands in the same place: its drawstring lines are 100% cotton down to the sewing thread and label, with no elastic at all - about as pure as clothing gets. The important caveat is that "latex-free" is not the same as plastic-free: Cottonique's elasticized styles replace rubber with a cotton-wrapped polyester core, so those bands are still synthetic. The fully plastic-free choice is specifically their drawstring / elastic-free styles, not the whole catalog.
How clear are their specs?
Clearly labels organic cotton, latex-free, and spandex-free, and (to their credit) discloses that the "latex-free elastic" uses a polyester core - the distinction that separates their drawstring styles from their elasticized ones.
