Dropps

Dropps is the dishwasher parallel to the "plastic-free" laundry sheet: it markets plastic-free packaging and an eco identity, but the pod itself is a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) film - a water-soluble plastic - which the brand discloses and defends as biodegradable (the disputed position). Credit where due: Dropps has publicly said it's researching a plant-based film to replace the PVOH, so it's more honest than most. But today, the pod is dissolvable plastic, and the plastic-free claim is about the box, not the pod.
