Geometry
Geometry is the textbook "looks eco, is plastic" case. Its cloths use a proprietary Geoweave fabric that is recycled polyester (RPET) - made from plastic bottles - which is recycled, but still a synthetic microfiber that sheds plastic in the wash. "Made from bottles" is a waste-diversion story, not a plastic-free one. Documented here so the sustainable marketing doesn't obscure the material.
How clear are their specs?
Discloses the recycled-polyester (RPET) fabric, but foregrounds "sustainable" and "made from bottles" over the fact that it's shedding plastic.
