Nespresso
Like Keurig, Nespresso is a pod system where the water path is plastic from end to end: a removable plastic water tank, internal plastic lines, and hot water forced through a capsule (aluminum on Original, aluminum on Vertuo, but handled by plastic holders and pierced/spun inside a plastic assembly). Nespresso's sustainability messaging centers on aluminum-capsule recycling, not on keeping hot water away from plastic. The machines themselves are plastic-bodied with plastic tanks; there is no plastic-free way to run one.
How clear are their specs?
Nespresso and its manufacturing partners disclose capsule materials and recycling clearly, but the machine's water tank and internal water-path materials are not characterized in detail on the spec pages.
