Onyx
Built around getting plastic out of food storage, a category where even "steel" containers usually come with plastic lids. Onyx uses stainless lids and food contact throughout, with plastic pushed out entirely - the storage container tolerates only a silicone gasket for its seal, and the ice tray is fully steel with no plastic at all. A genuine design-it-out posture, plastic present only where a flexible seal is functionally required.
How clear are their specs?
Materials are simple and stated - stainless food contact with a silicone gasket where a seal is needed - and there are no coatings or hidden liners to disclose.
Lead testing disclosure
No dedicated lead/cadmium testing or safety page found on Onyx's own site, no named lab, and no test numbers published. Independent testing of an Onyx stainless popsicle mold has reportedly come back non-detect for lead, but this is independent verification of one product, not a brand-published disclosure or an active affiliate/promotion relationship.
