Its manual toothbrushes are polypropylene handles with nylon bristles; its Glide floss was for years the definitive example of PTFE (fluoropolymer) floss, the one independent testing found highest in fluorine and a peer-reviewed study tied to higher blood PFAS. P&G said in early 2026 that it had reformulated Glide to drop PTFE - a claim that, as of writing, has not been independently verified, with older stock still in circulation.
