Plackers is the disposable end of the category: every pick is a nylon thread on a molded plastic handle, discarded after a single use. The thread is nylon (plastic, though not PFAS), but the defining problem is volume - a whole plastic handle thrown away each time. We document it as a corrective and point readers to a refillable silk pick.
