Tide
Tide is a mainstream P&G brand with no plastic-free positioning; it's here for the PODS, which are the archetype of the dissolvable-plastic-film format. Tide's own site confirms the pod uses a water-soluble film "made possible by polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/PVOH)" - a plastic. P&G defends that PVA as biodegradable (the disputed position); the point for a materials view is simply that the convenient pod is wrapped in plastic film, and the "plastic-free" sheets sold as the eco alternative use the same binder.
