The only non-steel water-adjacent part is the removable silicone gasket that seals the cap - hence silicone-only rather than fully plastic-free.

The Reflect is a single-wall (non-insulated) stainless bottle designed from the ground up to be plastic-free, with "no plastic, no paint, no compromises" as the pitch. It uses the Stainless Unibody Bamboo Cap - one piece of steel with a bamboo cap - rather than the plastic loop cap that ships on standard Classic bottles. An insulated "Rise Reflect" version with the same bamboo cap is also sold.
