Klean Kanteen 32oz TKPro insulated stainless steel thermos in cream/Tofu with cup and pour-through cap

Klean Kanteen TKPro Insulated Thermos

Discontinued

Silicone is only a gasket/seal — what touches your food is Stainless Steel (304 / 18-8).

A fully plastic-free insulated thermos - all 18/8 steel and silicone, with a leakproof 360-degree pour-through cap and a steel serving cup. Discontinued by Klean Kanteen; see the TKWide Insulated + Wide Loop Cap for the current equivalent.

No longer made

Klean Kanteen has discontinued the TKPro. For the same steel-and-silicone drink path in a leakproof insulated bottle, the current alternative is the TKWide Insulated bottle fitted with the Wide Loop Cap, whose stainless interior keeps the drink off plastic. We keep this page up because the TKPro is still widely referenced, and plenty are in circulation.

The verdict: Silicone only

Klean Kanteen builds the TKPro entirely from 18/8 stainless steel and silicone - no plastic anywhere, including the cap. The 360-degree pour-through lid stays on while you pour and seals leakproof with silicone gaskets, and the twist-off cup is steel. This is the community's answer to "a leakproof coffee thermos with no plastic in the path," and it is distinct from Klean Kanteen's TKWide + Cafe Cap, whose spout is polypropylene. You pour into the cup rather than sip through a mouthpiece, so the drink only ever touches steel and silicone.

The TKPro is Klean Kanteen's high-retention thermos: double-wall vacuum steel that holds heat up to ~38 hours, with a 360-degree pour-through cap that lets you pour from any angle without removing the lid, and a stainless cup that screws over the top. It is a pour-into-a-cup thermos rather than a sip-through travel mug - you pour into the steel cup instead of drinking through a mouthpiece.

Pros

  • Fully plastic-free - only steel and silicone, including the cap
  • Leakproof 360-degree pour-through lid; pour without opening
  • Outstanding heat retention (up to ~38h hot)
  • Steel serving cup included; whole cap disassembles for cleaning

Cons

  • You pour into the cup rather than sip directly - not a one-handed sip-lid travel mug
  • Heavier and bulkier than a slim tumbler
  • Steel cup and lip get hot with very hot drinks
  • Pricier than a basic travel mug
