Avanchy
Genuinely tries to design plastic out of baby feeding gear, and mostly succeeds: the food-contact surfaces are 304 stainless or solid bamboo, and it pointedly avoids the melamine-bound "bamboo fiber" composites that plague the category. Where plastic-adjacent material remains it's food-grade silicone in functional roles - suction rings that grip the table, and the soft handles on its spoons - not the surface the food touches. The one fully plastic-free item (the all-steel training forks) shows they'll drop silicone entirely when a product doesn't need the softness.
How clear are their specs?
Names the steel grade (304) and is unusually specific that the bamboo is solid wood with a food-grade varnish, not melamine composite; silicone parts are called out as removable.
Lead testing disclosure
Product pages list "lead-free" among a string of bare safety claims (plastic-free, BPA-free, BPS-free, PVC-free, lead-free, phthalate-free) with no named lab, test standard, or numbers behind it, and no dedicated testing/safety page was found on avanchy.com.
- manufacturer https://avanchy.com/products/petite-silicone-cup product page lists "lead-free" as one bare safety claim among several, with no lab, standard, or numbers cited
Products we list
Stainless Steel Training Forks
All-stainless toddler training forks - handle and tines are one piece of 304 steel, no silicone grip - so unlike Avanchy's silicone-handled spoons these are fully plastic-free.
Bamboo Suction Plate
A genuinely solid-bamboo divided baby plate (not the melamine-bound "bamboo fiber" trap) with a removable silicone suction ring - the rare natural-material kids plate.
Stainless Steel + Silicone Baby Spoon
A 304 stainless bowl on a soft silicone handle - gentler on new gums than bare metal, but the grip is silicone, so it is silicone-only rather than fully plastic-free.
Stainless Steel Suction Plate
Double-wall 304 stainless divided baby plate whose only non-steel part is a removable silicone suction ring - steel touches the food, silicone only grips the table.
