Mazzer
Mazzer is a machine-shop brand, not a materials brand, and its plastic story splits sharply by model. The Philos is the exception worth knowing about: it ships with a stainless steel hopper and a stainless canister, which makes it one of very few electric grinders where both ends of the coffee path are steel by default. The hopper-fed Mini, by contrast, uses a plastic hopper and plastic lid like the rest of the category.
Mazzer publishes bilingual exploded-view parts catalogs and does label materials when it chooses to — INOX, ACCIAIO, ALLUMINIO, LEGNO, and plainly PLASTICA where a part is plastic. That makes the silences meaningful: hoppers, chutes, and burr carriers are listed with no material designation at all.
How clear are their specs?
Official exploded-view catalogs are downloadable per model and are the best primary source available in the category — they name materials for many parts and use "PLASTICA" explicitly when a part is plastic. But a large share of the coffee path (burr carriers, grind chamber, coffee outlet duct) carries no material label. The Philos page asserts "all components that come into contact with coffee are certified food-safe" without citing a standard or publishing a declaration of conformity.
