Petit Bateau doesn't market itself as plastic-free, but its classic cotton briefs are a community favorite for a specific reason: the waistband and leg elastic are fully wrapped in cotton, so only cotton touches skin, and an organic-cotton line is offered. It isn't a zero-plastic brand - the covered elastic core is still synthetic and other lines use blends - but the encased- cotton construction puts it ahead of typical exposed-elastane underwear.
How clear are their specs?
Lists top-line fiber content (e.g. "100% cotton," organic cotton, OEKO-TEX Standard 100) but does not break out the elastane in the covered elastic.
