Xiaomi
A tech brand, not a plastic-free one, and the difference between its kettle models is the whole story. The Mi Smart Kettle Pro (MJHWSH02YM) states liner, lid, and spout are all 304 stainless - a genuine all-steel water path - while the newer Smart Kettle 2 Pro swaps in a PPO plastic inner lid facing the steam. Same shelf, same "Pro" branding, materially different water path; the model number, not the name, tells you which one you're getting.
How clear are their specs?
The Mi Smart Kettle Pro spec page explicitly names 304 stainless for the liner and lid, and Xiaomi's own FAQ admits the 2 Pro's inner lid is PPO plastic - but the naming overlap between models does more to confuse buyers than the spec sheets do to clarify.
