The only non-steel part in the steam/pour path is the lid's silicone gasket (universal to this kettle class, so silicone-only rather than fully plastic-free). The double-wall outer shell is PP plastic but is the exterior, not the water path. Critical caveat: this applies ONLY to the Mi Smart Kettle Pro (MJHWSH02YM, 1.5 L).
