95% GOTS-certified organic cotton with 5% spandex, which the brand states is the minimum needed for fit and is completely enclosed in organic cotton. So there is plastic in the fabric, and only cotton against the foot. That is a real step down from an elastic-free sock like Rawganique's, and a large step up from the performance toe socks this competes with, which are 60-80% polyester and nylon by weight with the synthetic directly on the skin. Nothing here is coated or treated for wicking - the cotton does that.
