Timemore Sculptor 064S
An all-metal grind path with one plastic exception - the hopper beans land in first, on a grinder that otherwise gets the parts most makers get wrong right.
The verdict: Minimal plastic contact
Timemore markets the Sculptor as all-metal construction, and that is not quite true: the brand's own product-parameter sheet gives the material line as "Aluminum Alloy / Stainless Steel +PP" for the 064 chassis, and a retailer spec block spells it out as "Aluminum Alloy, Stainless Steel, Polypropylene." The polypropylene is the hopper - the first surface beans touch. On the larger 078 chassis the same line reads PCTG instead, a glycol-modified copolyester.
After that first contact the path is genuinely metal, which is more than most of this class manages: a metal anti-static and anti-popcorn plate sits between hopper and burrs, the burrs are SUS420 stainless, the burr carrier and chamber are metal (owners report metal-on-metal wear when alignment drifts, which plastic would not do), the chute is short and unlined, and the catch cup is metal. There is no plastic chute liner and no plastic catch cup.
Context worth having: this is a cold, brief contact. Beans sit in a shallow 30g hopper at room temperature for seconds, not hot water dwelling in a tank. The upgrade to avoid is Timemore's own hopper extension - it is ABS and it lengthens the plastic zone.

A vertical flat-burr single-dose grinder in a compact 4kg chassis. The S designation means flat burrs and stepless adjustment; the non-S 064 uses Timemore's stepped Turbo burrs and is not sold new in the US. Instead of bellows there is a patented rotary knocker - a knurled ring around the spout you twist to shake the last grounds loose into the magnetic cup. Retention runs around 0.1 to 0.2g with a knocker twist.

- The Red Speed titanium coating belongs to the 078SSP only - the 064S and 078S burrs are uncoated
- Aftermarket single-dose hoppers for it are 3D-printed PLA, which trades one plastic for another and requires removing the metal anti-static plate
