Misen

Specs clearly published misen.com ↗

Misen doesn't market itself as a plastic-free brand, but its cookware has ended up there by a different route. The lineup is organized by material - five-ply stainless, pre-seasoned carbon steel, and enameled cast iron - and the one line that used to be a conventional PTFE nonstick pan has been replaced by Carbon Nonstick, a nitrided carbon steel surface with no coating at all. As of mid-2026 the site's own "shop by material" menu lists no fluoropolymer or sol-gel pan, which is unusual for a general cookware brand at this size.

The Misenware storage line is deliberately built without plastic: 304 stainless bodies and tempered glass lids sealed with a silicone rim, marketed on "zero microplastics." Silicone still shows up where it does for everyone - lid seals, a silicone fish spatula - and the utensil and prep-tool range is where any remaining plastic lives, not the pans.

How clear are their specs?

Publishes a real spec sheet on each product page rather than marketing adjectives - names the construction outright ("3-ply Nitrided Carbon Steel + Aluminum Core", "3.0 mm, 5-ply Stainless Steel + Aluminum", "1.0 mm-thick 304 Stainless Steel"), breaks out lid materials separately, and gives per-size dimensions, weights, thicknesses, and heat limits. The gap: it names the alloy family but usually not the stainless grade outside the Misenware line.
