Best Plastic-Free Kids & Baby

Everything kids eat and drink from - bottles and cups, plates and utensils, lunch boxes, and teethers. Grouped by who uses it, because for kids the plastic question is sharper: smaller bodies, more heat cycles, and gear that goes straight in the mouth. Pick a type below, or read why it matters more here.

Why plastic matters here

Kids are the highest-value place to get plastic out, for reasons that stack: they ingest more microplastics relative to body weight than adults, their gear gets the harshest treatment (dishwashers, sterilizers, hot cars, chewing), and much of it is designed for direct, prolonged mouth contact - straws, spouts, bite valves, teethers. "BPA-free" is marketed hardest in this aisle and means the least: it names one omitted chemical, not a plastic-free design. The good news is that steel, glass, and (where softness is needed) food-grade silicone cover almost every kids' item - the hard part is that leakproof and chew-safe designs lean on plastic and silicone more than adult gear does.
